    Innovation In Breeding

Our Kennels have gone through several iterations, starting with conventional kennels made out of chain link, then moving on to our "Underground Dog Houses" constructed in 1998 in an effort to accommodate the German Shepherd's natural den habitat and now finally to our State-of-the-Art Indoor-Outdoor kennel environment. The dogs took to them immediately and as a result we have had many successful litters in this new environment.

The climate is 20-30 degrees cooler in the heat of summer and 20-30 degrees warmer in the cold of winter.

Our Indoor Runs measure 12-foot by 12-foot and include automatic waterers and 50-lb feeders. Our Whelping Boxes are constructed out of Schedule 80 PVC in such a way as to provide the mother a means of separating from the pups for needed rest but at the same time she is still able to keep a watchful eye over her litter to protect from predators. Mothers and pups appear to be healthier, happier and more content with calm, relaxed demeanors. The pups do not have the coordination to climb out of their whelping box until they are 4-weeks of age, which provides the mother a means to separate herself for needed rest, much the same way that our earlier underground dens worked.

Our Outdoor Runs are 12-foot by 10-foot and are an extension to the Indoor Runs with safety panels on the sides to eliminate any Fence Fighting between the Kennels as well as protection from injury.

All of our Kennels have 24-hour survelliance with video cameras in each run as well as perimeter cameras.
